We are looking for a dedicated Library Systems Officer to manage and support our ICT systems.
 

As the lead for Library systems, you will work closely with both Library and Corporate IT colleagues to ensure all our IT systems are functional and fit for purpose. You will have responsibility for all aspects of our Systems including monitoring, troubleshooting, supplier liaison, procurement and contract management. Knowledge and experience of Library systems including public PC booking systems, Library Management Systems, self service kiosks and other library or learning software is a necessity. You will have the ability to understand complex systems and translate them to provide simplified instruction to Library colleagues. Part of the role will involve investigating, recommending and implementing new systems to ensure we have the most efficient and cost effective solutions.

 

We are looking for a knowledgeable professional who shows determination in seeing a job carried through to successful completion. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with other IT professionals and lay people alike. You have a methodical, thorough approach to your work that ensures our systems are robust and any updates or changes are seamless. You will work across our Libraries with the possibility of working from home some days.
