About the role

The role of the Leadership Programme Support Officer is to coordinate and support the work for the Children's Services leadership team and the Director's Office. You will work with Project Support Officer colleagues to coordinate and manage the work of the leadership team. You will be highly organised and manage busy diaries as well as coordinate paperwork for big meetings.

 

This is a key role that will interface with the department leaders and leadership teams across the department. Team members may be asked to work in a flexible and agile way across the operations function to carry out other reasonable duties to ensure resilience and service delivery.

 

Role Duties:

  • Provide diary management and related support for the Children's Leadership Team.
  • Support the leadership team with forward planning to meet governance requirements in the key areas of business planning, risk management, scrutiny and other areas as delegated.
  • Co-ordinate and support the extended leadership team to navigate the governance requirements to deliver key business decisions.
  • Research and draft documents and reports.
  • Manage the communication on behalf of the Children's Leadership Team, acting as an ambassador for the department's senior leaders.
