About the role
Hammersmith & Fulham is committed to ending Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and creating a borough where everyone feels safe. We are seeking a skilled and motivated VAWG Programmes and Partnerships Lead to play a key role in delivering the Council’s Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy (2022–2027). This post is being offered on a fixed-term basis until May 2027 to cover an internal secondment.
Based within the Community Safety Team, this role is responsible for designing, commissioning and delivering services for victim/survivors of VAWG, with a particular focus on criminal justice support and safe accommodation. You will lead specific VAWG programmes, oversee commissioned services, and support partnership led delivery across the VAWG portfolio. The role requires strong organisation, clear communication and the confidence to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support effective delivery.
You will work closely with colleagues across the council and with external partners, including the Metropolitan Police and specialist VAWG organisations, to strengthen partnership working and contribute to an effective coordinated community response. The role also involves contributing to strategic development, preparing briefings and reports for senior officers and elected members, and representing the council at local and pan-London partnership forums.

Role Specific Qualifications:
Educated to degree level or relevant work experience in modern slavery and exploitation, violence against women and girls, safeguarding, anti-social behaviour and/or community safety.
