About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen on our NNDR & Database team for someone to join us as a Senior Business Rates Officer.

 

You will be joining a team delivering the business rates service from billing through to recovery, you will determine NNDR liability, award exemption and reliefs, assist with maintaining the commercial rating list and the database. 

 

You will be required to attend court hearings, deal with the more complex areas of NNDR, including resolving disputes, making decisions that require discretion, providing detailed statements and calculations, assisting our recovery section in preparing cases for court hearings.

 

We are looking to recruit an experienced business rates practitioner, with good organisational and IT skills and experience of using the Academy database and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

 

You will also have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
