The purpose of the Principle Occupational Therapy role is to ensure that the highest standard of Occupational Therapy practice is embedded across the organisation, by providing skilled and experienced leadership to key operational managers, and to provide strong transformational leadership of the Occupational Therapy Service. 


The Principal OT role will hold managerial responsibility for the Occupational Therapy teams, and will lead on the transformation of the Occupational Therapy Service to improve service delivery across the organisation in terms of efficient and effective pathways.


The Principal OT role will be the responsible lead for the management of the Occupational Therapy waiting list, and the outsourcing of capacity to create a longer-term sustainable service model. The post holder will drive preventative, personalised, strengths-based, social care services and practice that focus on enablement and optimising the independence and wellbeing of our population.
