About the role

We are seeking an experienced Information Manager with excellent collaboration and communication skills to join our Digital Services Information Management Team.
The post holder will act as a source of expertise on Information Governance and Data Protection matters within Digital Services and across the council to ensure that H&F operates in accordance with legislation, and best practice.
You will be an inspirational manager, providing day-to-day management of the Information Management team who manage and respond to data protection complaints and information rights internal reviews. You will be comfortable providing both routine and ad-hoc guidance and support on the review of complex information rights cases and supporting the completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments as well as effectively managing the members of the Information Management Team and their workload.
You will have a good knowledge of information security best practices and be responsible for reviewing proposed uses of information and risk assessing projects and solutions from an information management perspective, as well as creating and updating relevant policies in line with national and industry standards and best practice.
Deputising for the Council's Data Protection Officer, and Head of Information, you will be used to delivering work efficiently, independently and within agreed timescales as well as leading the investigation into potential breaches of data protection and liaising with the Information Commissioners Office.

Role Specific Qualifications:
Educated to bachelor degree level, holds a relevant professional qualification or a postgraduate qualification such as an MSc, MBA, or other appropriate information management, business, engineering, scientific or industry qualification.
