About the role
At Hammersmith & Fulham, we are ambitious in reforming the council to ensure this is a place for everybody. Within the Housing department, we aim to be efficient in everything that we do. We believe our residents deserve a place that is safe, clean and green, with high quality services they can rely on.
This role is responsible for governance of contracts that provide safe, decent homes within a thriving community where people want to live.
Are you an experienced manager, who can make the commercial business case, package requirements and shape programmes which deliver excellent outcomes?
Can you enable teams to navigate governance rules and procurement processes for contracts for goods, works and services in Housing?
You will need to be familiar with the needs of residents and the nature of place in our borough. You will be able to work with the range of trades and professions in housing to ensure effective governance of contracts and the use of good technical documentation for delivery of works and services in the borough.
You will lead the Housing Contract Board and support teams across housing with the large pipeline of planned procurement for housing management, resident and building safety and housing repairs categories.
You will need an understanding of H&F’s contract standing orders, how to get decisions through governance and the legal requirements under the public contract regulations applicable to local government.
You will work directly with the procurement professionals within the procurement and commercial team who will advise on tendering, evaluation and moderation as part of their place category responsibilities.
Our mission is to be the best council. To do this we need the best people to help build our vision. If you’re looking to develop your career in a fast-paced, professional environment whilst making a difference, then we look forward to hearing from you.
