About the role

The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Fire Safety Surveyor to join the Property and Compliance Works team.

 

This role will see you work in a team of risk assessors and external consultants to provide fire safety surveying expertise across the Council’s portfolio of 17000 properties. This is a challenging role that will require you to engage with a range of key stakeholders, ensuring that all fire risk activities are carried out to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism and meeting the needs of our residents.

 

We are looking for a confident fire safety professional with a minimum of five years’ experience in the required disciplines.

 

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant technical professional qualification i.e. full membership to the IFE / IFSM and NEBOSH fire safety certificate FC1 / FC2 or equivalent.

 

You will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in a similar post ideally in housing/local authority.

Role Specific Qualifications:

• HND/C fire safety management / fire engineering related or equivalent qualification (general practice or management).

• NEBOSH General Certificate. 

• NEBOSH fire safety certificate FC1 / FC2 or similar qualifications.

• Advanced Fire Safety and Fire Risk Assessment certificate.

• Full professional membership to the IFE or similar relevant professional qualifications (i.e. IFE, CABE / CIOB / RICS).
