About the role
In H&F we are proud of our approach to Independence enabling our residents to remain independent for as long as they can.
Independent living is not only about the services we provide; it is about building communities and systems that support independence at every stage of life. By focusing on prevention, choice and inclusion, we are creating a place, together with our partners in health and the voluntary sector, where residents can continue to access the right support, when they need them, in a way that suits them.
This is an exciting time to join the H&F Commissioning and Transformation Team. We are transforming Adult Social Care in the context of significant change in the Health landscape and financial reform for Local Authorities. In response to these challenges, we have developed a new strategic approach; one that prioritises creativity and self-direction. We are creating a system that empowers people to thrive in their own homes and communities.
We are looking for a Commissioning and Contracts officer to help us achieve our ambitions. With experience of managing complex commissioning and transformation programmes, along with robust contract management skills on behalf of Adults and Children’s Social Care, you will work hard to create a truly compassionate council that delivers high quality services for our residents. Working in collaboration with key partners such as Health and Housing you will deliver sustainable improvements and efficiencies.
To achieve this, you will critically assess and challenge our current delivery methods, implementing any changes that will improve performance and reduce costs. Never conforming with just the minimum, you will look out for continuous improvement across the organisation. In this critical role you will manage a programme of work spanning in-house services and formalised arrangements with statutory partners. You will share our vision to achieve whole scale transformation. Together, you will help us achieve our ambitions of creating an even better borough for our residents.
This is an opportunity to rise to the challenge and develop your career by making Hammersmith & Fulham a better place. Apply now
