The Recruitment Team works to attract the best staff and officers into Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary to deliver the key priorities and vision of the Force, providing high-quality and specialist HR services.
What will you do?
As a Recruitment Assistant Adviser you will provide professional recruitment support to key recruitment areas of the business - primarily supporting the Police Staff team within the wider Resourcing function. You will be creating and publishing adverts, facilitating interview arrangements and issuing offer letters to successful candidates. You will be supported by an Adviser who oversees the recruitment process, enabling you to build an understanding of the organisational needs and recruitment challenges as you develop in the role. As part of a team you will also process ad-hoc pieces of recruitment which will include collating applications for shortlisting, liaising with internal/external stakeholders and providing advice/support to potential applicants. Whilst much of our recruitment is pre-planned you will need to be reactive to demands too; the ability to adapt to change is therefore essential.
With strong communication skills, enthusiasm and a customer-focussed outlook you will engage with Recruiting Managers and provide them with specialist recruitment support and guidance in line with our policies, Police Regulations and employment law. You will also attend and support recruitment assessments and Recruitment Fairs / Events, sharing your knowledge of Police careers and recruitment processes with prospective candidates. As an ambassador for Recruitment you will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference, supporting an organisation that directly impacts your local community.
If this sounds like the role for you, and you’re excited about how you could enhance the team, then we would love for you to apply.
