Location: Southampton Central Station

 

Salary: Scale 5, £29,109 - £31,296 per annum

 

Hours: 37 hours per week

 

Closing Date: Sunday 15th June 2025 at 23.59 hours

If you are someone who is open minded, flexible, good at making decisions under pressure and having a job where no 2 days are the same then you could be the person we are looking for.

 

Our small team, who assess forensic requests from police and crime scene investigators, is seeking someone who can join them in their quest to provide a comprehensive service to the investigating officers within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary and help them bring criminals to justice. As part of the team you will help us to decide whether it is appropriate for an exhibit to be passed to the relevant Forensic Service Provider for forensic examination.

 

A previous background in forensics is not essential but if you have an enquiring mind and a keen interest in this area then we would love to hear from you.

Essential Qualifications

 

Educated to QCF Level 2 (3 passes including English Language), OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level.

Essential Experience

 

2 years working in a busy office environment, using a wide range of office equipment and complex record keeping systems.


Experience of monitoring budgets and financial tasks.


Computer literate, experience using computers for data entry.
