Salary: Scale 5, £29,109 - £31,296 per annum, pro rata (equates to £9,047.39 - £9727.14 per annum)
Hours: Part time - 11.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Closing date: Sunday 9th March 2025 at 23:59 hours
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will deliver an efficient Evidence Management Service to colleagues and the public; proactively managing evidential exhibits in line with Force Policy and Procedures and reuniting owners with their property at the earliest opportunity.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Ensure the safekeeping and appropriate handling of all evidential exhibits (which will include seized monies, firearm s, drugs, contaminated item s and biometric samples) in compliance with legislation and Force Policy and Procedures.
2. Receive and quality check all item s deposited in the Temporary Evidence Stores (TES), assessing item s individually to decide their correct storage.
3. Maintain the required security protocols for the environment and stored item s at all times.
4. Receive and resolve enquiries from the Public in person, by telephone and email.
5. Facilitate the provision of exhibits to officers / staff when requested.
6. Collect and transport exhibits between locations or to a disposal facility in a police vehicle as required.
7. Collate and Prepare consignments of exhibits for forensic submissions. 8. Receive and process consignments of returned item s. 9. Accurately input data on the Record Management System (RMS) and maintain continuity for all movements and actions.
Please, note that this can be a physically demanding role, which can also require handling heavy and/or contaminated items. The role requires an element of conflict management due to the circumstances behind some of the items that we are responsible for managing.

Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 2 with passes in Maths and English Language or experience to bring post holder to comparable level.
Essential Experience
• Previous experience of working in a busy office environment including a range of administrative procedures with proven organisational skills.
• Ability to use own initiative and prioritise work.
• Computer literate, experienced in use of Microsoft Office.
• Good literacy and communication skills.
