Salary: Scale 6/SO1, £32,247 - £37,692 per annum
Hours: 37.00 per week
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

 

Your role will be primarily to  deliver online and classroom based Driver Awareness Courses to members of the public in order to enhance Knowledge & Skills in respect of Road Safety. The role is Hybrid working with a mix of home working and course delivery at venues across Hampshire

 

Responsibilities will be but not limited to: 

 

1. To deliver a range of online (from home) and classroom based driver awareness packages to members of the public, across a range of venues throughout Hampshire, so as to facilitate personal learning, development and understanding of road safety matters by those attending
2. To develop and maintain personal skills and knowledge to ensure compliance with National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) Trainer Licencing requirements, maintaining a personal and accurate log of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
3. To provide appropriate guidance and support to new members of staff, in order to facilitate their personal development, and compliance with NDORS Licencing requirements.
4. Maintain and update training records using the DAT Booking Management Software system ensuring accuracy and strict compliance with NDORS guidelines.
5. Where necessary to design/develop/review bespoke training courses for the Constabulary or partner agencies that meet the Training Needs Assessment (TNA) for that organisation and are conducive with the current Road Safety Strategy of the force.
6. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Data Protection and Equality Act legislation at all times and to be aware of the Force Policy in respect of standards of behaviour at all times
7. Be able to work effectively as an individual trainer and as part of a training delivery team to meet organisational objectives.
8. Give regular and effective service.

Essential Qualifications

 

Posess a nationally recognised learning and development qualification at QCF Level 3 (eg L&D Award minimum 12 credits) OR significant work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.

Essential Experience

 

Experience in Training needs analysis, design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of training.

Excellent communication skills to communicate positively and clearly both verbally and in writing.
