Applications are invited from police officers of all ranks who have received confirmation from the College of Policing that they have either, passed the Senior Police National Assessment Centre and successfully completed the Strategic Command Course or; are currently undertaking or have completed the Executive Leadership Programme (ELP).

 

The role attracts a salary according to the Chief Officer pay scale, plus a competitive benefits package including a fleet car and medical cover.

Brief detail of the role as follows:

 

 

Working directly to the Deputy Chief Constable, you will provide effective leadership of your people and portfolio responsibilities, contributing to the overall leadership of the Force.

 

You will take command of policing and operational matters as and when required, including as a member of the Gold Command rota and contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate and effective strategies and policies.

To apply for the role, you will be:

 

 

  • A substantive Assistant Chief Constable or 
  • Chief Superintendents / Superintendents who have completed the Senior Police National Assessment Centre (PNAC) and the Strategic Command Course (SCC); or
  • A candidate undertaking the new Executive Leaders Programme who would be appointed on temporary promotion. Once the programme has been successfully completed, you would be confirmed as substantive.

 

 

Candidates are required to upload either a copy of their SCC report and PNAC report, or a copy of their ELP application as supporting documentation for their ACC application.

 

 

Non United Kingdom (UK) applicants must have served in an approved overseas police force rank. Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
