About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit up to 5 sessional contact workers to join a busy and thriving contact team.  

 

Askham contact centre has an enhanced accreditation with the National Association of Child Contact Centres and provides a safe and secure environment for children to have contact with their families while plans are being made for the children’s futures. Supervised contact workers will provide a consistent service to families with the aim of achieving high quality contact between children and their families. The post holder will work as part of children’s services to facilitate and supervise family time sessions within the agreement and processes of the care planning agenda. They will work to support parents/carers to provide safe and child focussed sessions. They will be required to complete a written account of each session. 


You will be provided with training to carry out this role. Successful candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills. You will need to be proficient in IT systems such as Microsoft office and have the ability to use our client database system. Applications would be welcome from those that have relevant qualifications and experience of working in a social care, education or health setting with children. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. The contact service is open from Monday-Saturday between 9am - 6pm.
