Job Title: Outcomes Team Clerk  - HC17160 

Location: Kings Worthy (Winchester) 

Salary: Scale 3, £18,486 to £19,704, per annum / Pro rata 

Contract: Permanent 

Hours: This position is available on either Full Time or Part Time Hours

Full Time 37 Hours per week

Part Time Hours 18.50 per week 

Closing Date: Friday 6th March 2020 at 23.59 hrs

Purpose of Job

 

To perform a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks, providing an efficient delivery of service in respect of Out of Court Disposals.

Key Accountabilities

 

1. To provide day to day administration of Out of Court Disposals to ensure they are recorded and dealt with accurately.
2. Provide excellent service by liaising, updating and advising all offenders and victims of crime.
3. Deal with correspondence and process telephone calls in a professional and timely manner
4. Provide advice and guidance to Police Officers in respect of Out of Court Disposals.
5. Maintain positive working relations with Police Officers and staff, CPS, and Diversionary course providers such as Druglink, Victim Support and Hampton Trust.
6. To prepare paperwork for supervisory officers for advice and potential prosecution when an offender does not comply with a Conditional Caution.
7. To process and monitor cases which have been diverted from court, to ensure the correct outcome is administered.
8. To interrogate and update computer systems such as RMS and PNC ensuring data is accurate, up to date and accessible in connection with Out of Court Disposals.
9. To undertake general office duties, including scanning, photocopying, filing and production of standard letters and reports.
10. To give regular and effective service.

Additional Information

Maintain personal responsibility for collection, recording, evaluation, information sharing, review, retention and disposal of information in compliance with codes of practice and Guidance in the Management of Information, information security policy, procedures and legislation.
The role holder is required to visit various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight during working hours, and therefore needs to have the ability to travel as necessary.
May be asked to carry out fire warden duties to meet required standards if required.

Essential Qualifications

Educated to QCF Level 2 (3-5 passes) OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level.

Essential Experience

 

Experience working in a busy office environment. To be computer/keyboard literate and a competent keyboard user
