Scale: SO1: £33,915.00 - £35,982.00

Have you ever wanted to work within an Anti-Corruption Unit to help protect everyone from members of policing who may pose a risk or concern? Now if your chance to become Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary’s first ever ACU Protect Officer.

 

What is the role all about?

 

Sitting within the ACU Intelligence Team, you will embed a PROTECT and offender management culture within the ACU.

 

Working with intelligence about members of the Constabulary from a variety of internal and external sources, you will then have responsibility to take ownership of cases. This involve reviewing intelligence, assess the risk involved and think about how it can be managed/mitigated, carry out investigative work and make recommendations on how to proceed.

 

During investigations, travel to various locations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight is likely to be required at least once a week. You will also be required to communicate with internal stakeholders, namely all ranks of Officers and Staff, and external stakeholders.

What does an ideal ACU Protect Officer candidate look like?

 

A background in intelligence is not essential for this role.

 

However, you must be able to analyse, assess and evaluate complex data. You should also be organised and methodical in the way you work, and be able to accurately organise and collate large volumes of information.

 

Our ideal candidate will hold a full UK drivers licence, be a confident communicator, be able to write detailed reports and have good IT skills.

 

The ACU department deals with highly sensitive information and operates on a ‘need to know’ basis, so most importantly, you must have integrity and value the importance of it.
