Salary: Scale 6, £30,783 - £32,772 per annum

 

Hours: Full and Part-time (Up to 37 hours per week)

 

Contract: Permanent

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join us as Development Officers, within a national policing unit working to ensure safer communities in the UK and around the world. Full-time and part-time positions are available across two teams, the Continuous Improvement Team, and Strategy and Development, with hours to be discussed at interview stage.
 

 

About the role

 

This is a forward facing role, interacting with customers both internally and externally to ACRO. We are a progressive and engaging organisation that look to learn and develop from our people and those around us. We actively encourage an inquisitive approach and strive to develop our people across our business. 

 

The successful applicant will be a key member of a team that is responsible for developing ideas and ensuring these are progressed to a conclusion for ACRO. You should enjoy working with others and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will provide a full range of research and administrative activities to support ACRO projects and development work, as well as ensuring strong and clear communications between ACRO and its key stakeholders. Projects could be internal to ACRO, or as part of national or international law enforcement initiatives.

ACRO Criminal Records Office supports UK and international law enforcement by processing criminal records for the purposes of public protection, safeguarding and worldwide community safety.

Essential Qualifications

 

Educated to QCF Level 3 OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.

 

The successful candidate will require a valid passport.

 

Essential Experience

 

Previous Experience undertaking research work, covering a wide range of subjects.

 

Report writing experience.

 

Advanced use of MS office products.

 

Use and maintenance of a variety of complex record keeping systems
