About Hampshire Constabulary

Hampshire Constabulary is one of the only police forces in the country to be assessed by HMICFRS as GOOD in every area under the PEEL inspection process. As one of the biggest forces in the country, the force is looking for leaders with strong ethical values to build on their careers in policing in an environment that provides opportunities for them to be at their best.

The force is a leader nationally in its approach to cyber crime, winning multiple awards, and has well developed relationships with partner agencies and the other forces in the South East.  The specialist operational capabilities that are shared with Thames Valley are assessed as some of the best in the country.

With the challenge of large cities, critical national infrastructure and a vibrant rural community, Hampshire provides lots of opportunity for leaders to develop a broad range of skills, as shown by the high success rate of candidates from the force on the Senior PNAC.
Neighbourhood policing is a bedrock of the force's approach to policing. A sign of ambition in this respect is that chief constable Olivia Pinkney has just been appointed the NPCC lead for Local Policing.

Our four force values are directly related to those outlined in the Code of Ethics.
