Salary range: £64,419 - £67,663 per annum 

Work location: County Hall, Oxford - This role is defined as an anywhere worker, meaning that the role involves hybrid working including home and council premises.
Attendance at the primary and potentially other office locations will be determined on the needs of the business but is anticipated to be 2-4 times per month in discussion with the postholder.

Hours per week: 37 - we are open to discussions about flexible working

As the Strategic Pay & Reward Manager you’ll use your insights and understanding of pay and reward strategies to develop frameworks, policies and job evaluation process to support that journey.

 

You’ll conduct a full review and analysis of OCC’s current pay and reward approaches:

 

  • Developing, recommending and implementing a strategic transformation programme of pay and reward to align with our organisational objectives and priorities and supporting the aims of Our People and Culture Strategy.
  • Recommending and developing Executive and Senior Leader pay and reward frameworks to meet legal and statutory obligations and in support of organisational leadership development for the future.
  • Reviewing and recommending approaches to job evaluation scheme or schemes
  • Analyse market trends and benchmark our total compensation packages against industry standards.

 

 

About you

 

You’ll need to have:

 

  • Degree or equivalent level of education in relevant subject such as human resource management, business studies, management studies and CIPD professional membership.
  • Extensive, relevant pay and reward experience gained in large complex organisations with multiple stakeholders with a proven track record of creating and implementing pay and reward transformation programmes.
  • Strong detailed analytical and business problem solving skillset.
  • Excellent financial skills to identify and evaluate business risks and apply appropriate techniques to resolve them.
  • Demonstrable capabilities in financial modelling and numerical analysis.
  • Be commercially focussed and outcomes driven.
