Salary range: £39,186 - £42,403 per annum 

Work location: The primary location for this role will be County Hall, Oxford.

 

Attendance at the primary and other office locations is anticipated to be 2-4 times per month.  However, attendance may be one or two days per week initially as the new team forms. The ability to travel to face-to-face meetings, job and community outreach events and national conferences as required is essential. 
 

Hours per week: 37

Contract type: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

About the role

 

You will have a really important role to play in supporting us to deliver our Talent and Resourcing change programme by helping us to showcase the Council as an inclusive employer of choice through development of our employee value proposition (EVP) and employer brand.  You will be working on and delivering projects to find creative ways to enhance and promote our EVP and launch, embed and promote our new employer brand, as well as delivering targeted attraction campaigns, with a strong focus on equity, diversity and inclusion.   


You’ll need experience of managing various market channels, including digital platforms, to connect with a diverse audience. Strong communication skills are essential as you'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and engage directly with candidates through evolving recruitment technologies, our careers website, and various media channels. Your expertise in employer branding and recruitment marketing will help us attract and engage both active and passive candidates in competitive recruitment environments.

About you

 

An experienced recruitment marketing professional, you’ll be well versed in the latest trends in employer branding, candidate attraction and recruitment marketing, with an awareness of the challenges facing public sector organisations. Passionate, innovative and solutions focused, you’ll be open to doing things differently.

 

You’ll need:

 

  • Considerable experience in successfully managing employer branding, recruitment marketing and candidate attraction/sourcing initiatives in skills shortage areas including reaching out to underrepresented groups. Evidence of successful campaign/project management and delivery. 
  • A good understanding of, and commitment to, equity, diversity and inclusion specifically in relation to attraction and hiring practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise copy and attractive and engaging content suitable for use across a range of channels including case studies, images, video and social media content.
  • Experience of using social media and digital services, tools trends and analytics including techniques for optimising digital content in a professional capacity.
