Salary range: £35,745 - £42,403 pro-rata, per annum (actual salary £17,872 - £21,201 per annum) 

Work location: Countywide, Oxfordshire 

Hours per week: 18.5

Contract type: Permanent 

Vetting requirements: This role is subject to a criminal records check

About us

 

The designated county-wide Private Fostering team sits within the Fostering Service and is based in the Oxford City Fostering Team. 

 

 

About the role

 

We are looking for a committed Social Worker for our Private Fostering Team in the City. You will be responsible for assessing the suitability of private fostering arrangements to ensure the needs and safety of the children are prioritised. You will also support the private foster carers offering advice and making referrals where required.

 

You will work to ensure that your assessments and visits are completed within timescales and are of a good quality. You will also be responsible for developing robust support plans for these arrangements.

 

 

About you

 

You will need to communicate well, and you will be expected to maintain good working relationships across Children's Services and with other agencies as well as developing good working relationships with the private foster carers.
