Salary range: £26,873 - £28,770 pro-rata, per annum (actual salary £23,242 - £24,883 per annum) 

Work location: Community Based – South, Vale & West of Oxford

Hours per week: 32- we are open to discussions about flexible working  

Contract type: Permanent

Vetting requirements: This role is subject to a Criminal Records Check.

About us


Children and Family Care Services supports Children/Young people aged 0 -18yrs who have a diagnosed disability and are open to the Disability Social work teams.

Our support includes providing domiciliary homecare, and short break opportunities.



About the role


You will be supporting children/ young people providing domiciliary personal care for the child in their own home. This can involve personal care support with bathing, dressing, medical tasks and interventions for which child specific training will be provided.

You will also support children to access leisure based community opportunities. 

As a senior support worker you will mentor and support staff within your team. You will also contribute to and attend meetings related to the children you support.


About you


The children and young people we support say you need to be “Fun, happy, kind and reliable”


You will need to be, flexible, and adaptable with the ability to demonstrate a creative approach to working with children and young people who have a disability, alongside their parents and care givers. You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and engagement skills and be able to adapt your style and approach to each individual child and family.
