Salary range: Soulbury 4-7 (£44,545 - £48,550 per annum) plus 3 SPA points  

Work location: Ron Groves House, Kidlington 

Hours per week: 37 

Contract type: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to join Oxfordshire’s Early Years SEN team and help us deliver our vision for young children with Special Educational Needs. We’re looking to appoint two permanent experienced early years teachers.

About the role

 

You will work in partnership with families, early years settings and schools to improve learning outcomes for young children (Birth - 5 years) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This will involve working with a range of other teams within education, health and social care.

 

The role involves the detailed assessment of children’s needs as well as supporting the planning and implementation of learning and development opportunities for children with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Working collaboratively with others the role contributes to the Local Authority’s requirement to ensure the statutory duties of the SEND Code of Practice 2015 are discharged, including inputting to the Education Health and Care Needs Assessment process.

 

The role also includes providing training and advice to Early Years practitioners on inclusive practice for children with Special Educational needs and Disabilities.

 

 

About you

 

As a qualified teacher, you will have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and their families as well as considerable experience of teaching children under 6 years. The post requires a detailed working knowledge of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage. We are looking for someone who has the ability to work collaboratively as a team player in multidisciplinary locality teams, as well as within the Early Years team and it’s essential that you have the ability to work to your own initiative and manage time well.
