Hours per week: 32 - we are open to discussions about flexible working
Contract type: Temporary for 12 months - maternity cover

We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic person to join the Financial Assessment Team working as part of the Adult Social Care Finance Function
About us
The Financial Assessment Team is responsible for carrying out the means tested assessments to determine how much a person is expected to contribute towards their care services. We cover the whole of the county and work closely with our colleagues in the Adult Social Care Teams and the Income Team. The work is fast paced, high volume and varied. Some assessments are straight forward whereas others can be more complex requiring a lot of time and investigation.
About the role
The Assessment Officer role is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the financial assessments for Adult Social Care and Children’s Social Care. The role is responsible for dealing with all incoming queries relating to financial assessments and invoices. The role involves close working with colleagues in different teams to ensure the information flows through the system efficiently to ensure the charges are accurate.
About you
You will be enthusiastic and willing to join the Financial Assessment Team to complete the financial assessments in a timely way whilst maintaining accuracy. You will be able to manage your time effectively to meet demanding targets. You will able to resolve complex queries and deal with people who are in difficult situations. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional.
