Salary range: £51,515 - £54,702 per annum (GRD14, SCP 43-46) rising to £55,783 – £59,010 per annum (GRD15, SCP 47–50), on successful completion of L5 diploma in Leadership and Management for residential childcare (England)

Work location:  Main base will be the Children’s home the Manager is registered to. Homes will be Located in Eynsham, Sutton, Chinnor, Enstone and East Hagbourne, Oxfordshire.

Hours per week: 37 Sleep in (if required in extreme circumstances). Participation in the Managers On Call rota

Contract type: Permanent

Vetting requirements: This role is subject to a criminal records check and to the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 and successful candidates will be required to complete a Disqualification Form.

About the role

 

This is a new and exciting opportunity for an  experienced Children’s Home Managers who are ready to take the next step and become Ofsted Registered Managers whilst we support you with obtaining your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).

 

The successful applicant will be the Registered Manager (Apprentice) for one of our Children’s Homes. Oxfordshire’s Children’s Homes provide short to mid- term and mid to long-term accommodation with intensive support packages for up to 4 children, aged 12 – 17 years.  The homes all provide a nurturing residential provision for children needing accommodation while we support their individualised needs. All of the homes will facilitate emergency placements with the agreement of the Registered Manager.

 

 

About you

 

As an enthusiastic and highly motivated Children’s Home Manager, you will have:

 

  • Experience working in a residential care setting at a managerial level, including supervising staff and knowledge of managing residential children’s homes.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Commitment to undertake the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England), to be completed within 15 months of your start date.
