We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to deliver plans and projects that will shape better futures for all kinds of people in an inclusive London borough. 

The Role:

 

As Project Manager in our Social Investment and Property department, you will work on a wide variety of transformation and improvement projects. Every day will be different and you will enjoy plenty of scope to shape not just the future of our borough, but also the role itself. Driving forward improvements for our residents and the organisation, you will deliver capital projects across a variety of heritage and listed buildings, residential stock and schools. Championing best practice in project management – including associated procurement and contract management – you will ensure successful and efficient delivery, leading to high levels of customer satisfaction. 


The Head of Operational Property will rely on your support to maintain compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, high standards of health and safety, and real value for money. You will ensure projects benefit from high quality architectural, engineering and surveying advice, and are delivered on time and in budget. As well as planning, managing and monitoring the delivery of projects, you will be responsible for innovation initiatives on both the departmental and the supplier side. As a key member of a close knit and supportive team, you will benefit from our flexible working policy and an excellent programme of learning, development and training.

About You:

 

With a proven track record of developing and delivering construction-based projects, you will bring to the role wide-ranging knowledge of the industry – from procurement legislation and supplier management, through to an understanding of both traditional and partnership-based construction contracts. Naturally, you will also demonstrate experience of good health and safety practices on construction sites, along with up-to-date insights into technology and environmental considerations. 


A keen eye for detail and analysis is a key part of your flair for problem solving. You are adapt at identifying issues and resolving them with innovative solutions. Confident working on your own initiative, you are also a skilled communicator and collaborator, with the ability to forge great working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
