The Role:

 

You will be working in a local team in the borough, our Estates Services teams collaborate with residents of council-owned housing estates to look after shared amenities and outdoor spaces. We also work to combat anti-social behaviour, fly-tipping, litter and graffiti. Our aim is for everyone to have a clean, safe, healthy place to live.

 

To proactively monitor and maintain housing estates in a clean, safe, tidy and attractive condition for the benefit of our residents. To represent Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea during the performance of duties on site communicating with all of our customers on matters affecting the upkeep of the estate.


This is one of the most front facing roles within RBKC, so a good attitude and excellent communication skills needed.

 

You will be highly visible in our community, you need to be Polite, helpful, highly motivated and perform well. This is a great opportunity to learn and develop while improving people’s daily lives.

About You:

 

While Caretaker experience would be useful, it is not essential, providing you are:

 

  • Efficient in use of time and works in a well-structured way.
  • Performs effectively by keeping emotions under control, especially in stressful and difficult situations.
  • Shows commitment to working environment, colleagues, customers and needs of the organisation, taking personal responsibility for personal improvement.
  • You’ll also have good health and safety awareness. Calm under pressure, you’ll have strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to customer service.
