Salary range: £39,186 - £42,403 per annum (Grade 11)

Work location: Sutton Farm, Witney, OX29 5RD

Hours per week: 37 - we are open to discussions about flexible working  

Contract type: Temporary for 3.5 years

Vetting requirements: This role is subject to a criminal records check

About us

 

Oxfordshire County Council is looking for an enthusiastic, self-starter to take this project forward to build on what's been done to date and to  make the most of new challenges and opportunities for local conservation, biodiversity, access and recreation, and land management. We are looking to recruit an outstanding project manager with hands-on experience in the environmental sector, together with the communication skills to promote the project to the local community, businesses, landowners and potential funders.

 

 

About the role

 

You will be part of the Landscape & Nature Recovery Team and the wider Environment & Heritage Group and the project steering group but generally working with local people and fellow delivery focused officers on your own initiative.

 

 

About you

 

You will have a sound knowledge and experience of conservation and access management, particularly in relation to restored minerals and waste sites and lowland habitats. You will be able to gather and use environmental data and communicate these to a wider audience. Experience of working with volunteers and education providers at all levels will also be beneficial.
