About us

 

Oxfordshire County Council's facilities management team is based in County Hall, Oxford. We have a great opportunity for experienced FM professionals, and someone, who is at the beginning of their career in Facilities Management, to learn and enhance their knowledge in administration, internal customer interactions and facilities management.

 

 

About the role

 

We are recruiting for two permanent Site Support Assistants to look after one of the sites in the Oxfordshire County Council estate, while supporting colleagues in other locations within Oxford. Supporting the facilities manager gives an insightful introduction to facilities management and a possibility to develop in facilities management and administration.

 

The role is office based, 5 days per week. Travelling across Oxford may be required as part of your role.

 

 

About you

 

You will have:

 

  • Experience of working within a front facing environment, engaging with customers / stakeholders face to face and over the telephone in a sensitive, confident and competent manner
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines, aware of confidentiality and understanding of the requirements of an office environment
  • Experience in facilities management including post, reception, cleaning and security work
  • Technical and digital skills including standard word processing and use of spreadsheets
  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and service users and build and manage positive relationships
  • The ability to assist with manual handling, minor office moves, setting up of meeting rooms and managing deliveries.
