Salary range: £50,884 - £53,936 per annum

Work location: County Hall, Oxford - Hybrid working with some office attendance required

Hours per week: 37 - we are open to discussions about flexible working

The role

 

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, this key finance role will provide the operational management of the Finance Business Partnering Team supporting the Children's Services Directorate (Social Care and Education), working closely with the Director and Senior Officers, and finance colleagues to deliver their ambitions for the children and young people of Oxfordshire. The post holder will manage a team of three, two Management Accountants and an Assistant Management Accountant.


The successful incumbent will provide professional support, advice and guidance to the Directors, their senior management teams and the Cabinet Portfolio Holders. This will involve providing strategic financial insight, analysis and commercial thinking for decision making, including the validation of the Business & Budget Planning, Financial Monitoring and Final Accounts processes.


What is critically important is the ability to provide an effective business partnering service, that supports the Corporate Director, and their senior management team enabling them to achieve excellent financial management and business objectives.
