Salary range: £32,076 - £34,834 per annum 

Work location: Ron Groves House, Kidlington - community based role 

Hours per week: 37 - we are open to discussions about flexible working  

Contract type: Permanent 

Vetting requirements: This role is subject to a criminal records check

About us

 

Children and Family Care Services supports Children/Young people aged 0 -18yrs who have a diagnosed disability and are open to the Disability Social work teams.

 

The Flexible Response Role involves direct work with parents/carers to role model strategies in caring for their children safely. This includes providing timely support and interventions to address safeguarding concerns and reduce risks to children and young people. 

 

In addition staff provide domiciliary homecare, and short break opportunities for young people in their care.

 

 

About the role

 

You will be working alongside, and with individual children, young people and their families to provide timely support and interventions to address safeguarding concerns and help reduce risks to children and young people. This can involve support with medical tasks and interventions for which child specific training will be provided.

 

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic worker who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.

 

 

About you

 

You will need to be reliable, flexible, and adaptable with the ability to demonstrate a creative approach to working with children and young people who have a disability, alongside their parents and care givers. You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and engagement skills and be able to adapt your style and approach to each individual child and family.
