Salary range: £26,999 - £29,636 pro-rata, per annum (actual salary £13,499 - £14,817 per annum)
Work location: Abbey House, Abingdon, however the post involves agile working across the county
Hours per week: 18.50 - we are open to discussions about flexible working
Contract type: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced children’s practitioner to join our specialist team and provide therapeutic support to children aged between 3 and 11 who are in therapeutic foster placements. 

About us:

We are a specialist team within the Fostering service offering intensive support to children with complex emotional, behavioural and developmental needs.

About the role:

The Skills Coach role is an intrinsic part of the Oxfordshire Treatment Foster Care programme (OTFC). You will work directly with the child both on a 1:1 and in group situations. You will contribute to a holistic way of working that the OTFC programme offers which includes supporting the child in their foster home, the community, within their education setting and with the transition to a permanent placement or reunification to birth family.

  • You will have the knowledge and skills to help engage with vulnerable young people 
  • Show resilience, with the ability to manage the emotional impact of the work, actively making use of appropriate support
