Salary Range: £37,849 - £40,760 pro-rata, per annum

Work Location: Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, Oxford City, Witney, Oxfordshire

Hours per week: Full and part time - flexible working options considered

Contract type: Permanent

We have a great opportunity for professionals with extensive experience of working in a statutory children and families setting.

 

 

In this role you will focus on complex cases and provide important mentoring and supervision to Social Workers and Family Support Workers and take lead responsibility for specific areas of continual professional development for the team.

To be successful in your role, you must:

  • have professional social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England with post-qualification work experience (applications from non-registered returners welcome)
  • have experience of working on complex cases, involving Children & Family Courts
  • have excellent analytical skills with ability to make well informed decisions
  • have the ability to record and produce concise, effective and accurate written work
  • ideally have some experience of mentoring others e.g. students, colleagues

Golden Hello

 

For talented, experienced social workers joining our Children’s Family Solutions Service, we are offering a Golden Hello payment of £3,500 on successful completion of a six month probation period. To be eligible for this award you must be able to demonstrate significant levels of relevant post-qualifying experience, usually obtained from working for at least three years’ with complex child protection and care proceeding cases.

 

 

Relocation Package

 

In line with County Council policy, if you want to move and live in Oxfordshire, we also offer a relocation package up to a maximum of £8,000 to cover reimbursement of expenses incurred by newly appointed employees (subject to eligibility)
