Salary Range: £27,334 - £28,770 per annum 
Work Location: Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service HQ at Eastleigh; Cosham Fire station or Basingstoke Fire Station
Hours per week: Full Time (37 hours), Part Time or Term Time working available
Contract Type: Permanent

The Prevention Team provides fundamental support to our communities across HIWFRS, by providing first-class initiatives to keep them safe. Our prevention activities include engagement with and education of the community, Safe and Well visits, delivery of children and young people programmes and safeguarding.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Safety Advisor to join our team. This role is key in the delivery of a high-quality prevention programme to our community across the counties, promoting and developing fire safety awareness and consequently reducing casualties and fatalities within the local community. The role will purely focus on the delivery of Safe and Well visits. Safe and well is a free home fire safety visit, tailored to individuals needs that can support the most vulnerable members of our community to help protect them and their home form fire.

 

The role requires you to be responsible for confirming all your own visits and you must be able to demonstrate good planning, organisation, and time management skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively. Alongside a passionate desire to make the lives of residents safer.
