Work Location: Elizabeth II Court, Winchester (Hybrid Working)
Hours per week: 37
Contract Type: Temporary (12 months)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Development Team, and to help us stand up a new mobile development capability. This is a hands-on role to help embed and evolve our mobile development and test capabilities, whilst passing on your in-depth knowledge of the sector to your web application development colleagues. Your skill set will enable you to develop and support Hampshire County Council’s application portfolio, via both the mobile development platform and our corporate web Content Management System. This role will challenge you to understand business requirements and develop appropriate solutions for our customers.

You will work as part of a supportive team, sharing technical knowledge and ideas, as you work together to develop and deliver systems that are functional, performant, scalable, tested, secure, maintainable and supportable.

The technologies you will use are largely from the Microsoft and Android frameworks. They include DART, Flutter, Firebase and Firestore, the .Net framework, SQL Server, alongside HTML, JavaScript and other common web technologies. Work management utilises Azure DevOps within an adaptive, agile environment. Our solutions are hosted on a mix of on-premise and cloud infrastructure, with which you'll interface whilst providing project delivery, support, and maintenance of the applications that underpin the critical services delivered by Hampshire County Council and its Partners.

If you think you could be a good fit, if you have experience of the mobile software delivery lifecycle, or if you some but not all of the skills listed above, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note applications will be reviewed regularly on a rolling basis. The complexity, responsibility and accountability will be commensurate with the grade.
