The Role:

We have an excellent opportunity for a Credit Controller to join our specialist team within Hampshire County Council’s Shared Service Centre. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with strong attention to detail, combined with the ability to provide outstanding customer service.

 

We've created a successful Shared Service Centre using cutting edge digital technology to deliver HR, recruitment, finance, purchasing, payroll and pensions transactions to over 55,000 customers across Hampshire County Council, Schools, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service. Our Shared Service Centre is responsible for collecting income on behalf of Hampshire County Council, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, Oxfordshire County Council and the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Working within the Credit Control Team, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of outstanding invoices for both our internal and external business partners. You'll possess excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills and be able to communicate with respect and diplomacy in challenging conversations. A good problem solver, you'll be able to identify the best outcome for both the customer and the Council whilst excelling at delivering a great customer service.

 

This is a hybrid role that requires office attendance minimum of one day a week.
