The Role:

Do you care about wildlife and have a flair for public engagement?

Bird Aware Solent is looking for two Rangers to join its friendly and passionate team. Our Rangers raise awareness of the importance of coastal birds within the Solent’s three Special Protection Areas (SPAs) and encourage responsible recreation on the coast.

The focus of these roles will be to provide a positive and engaging presence on the coast, with all user groups. The post holders must therefore have excellent face-to-face communication skills and be especially confident in striking up good rapport with people of all ages and backgrounds to encourage positive behaviour change. One of these positions will have a particular emphasis on engaging with the dog walking community and one will be working closely with the watersports community, such as paddleboarders, kayakers and windsurfers.

Applicants must have a driving licence and use of their own vehicle for work purposes.
