Social Worker (Hospital Team)

Salary Range: £39,382 to £46,679 pro-rata, per annum (inclusive of £3,000 per annum market supplement for Senior Social Workers)
Work Location: Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth or Clarence Unit, Gosport (Hybrid Working)
Hours per week: 37 or 30
Contract Type: Permanent

Join our Queen Alexandra Hospital Social Work Team as a qualified registered Social Worker. You’ll work with dedicated health and social care colleagues to deliver excellent social work services, helping adults leaving hospital to achieve the best outcomes.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals' needs and available support.
  • Managing a complex caseload whilst providing supervision for Case Workers and Senior Case Workers and practice advice on complex cases.
  • Triaging safeguarding referrals and making informed decisions.
  • Building positive and professional relationships
     

What we’re looking for

  • Social Work qualification and registered with Social Work England (SWE). 
  • A sound understanding of how to apply a strengths-based approach. 
  • Understanding of social work issues, legal frameworks and social services’ statutory duties. 
  • Commitment to demonstrating our values and behaviours.
