The Role:

Carry out a wide range of practical maintenance and conservation tasks

 

Your role will be to carry out a wide range of internal and external practical maintenance tasks at Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Staunton Country Park, two busy visitor/heritage attractions in Hampshire. Your role will also include the testing, checking and recording of safety and security systems, and ensuring the cleanliness of the main facilities. The post requires a willingness to take on a wide range of support functions working with the Operations Officer and the sites teams.

 

Having a flexible approach, you will be willing to work outdoors in all weathers both in a team and on your own. A basic level of certification in the use of power-tools such as brush-cutters and mowers is desirable, but training will be provided to the successful candidate. You will have a basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet use and will be expected to use the County Council's online systems.

 

You will possess good interpersonal skills and be able to undertake the physical and travel requirements of the role. There will be some weekend working.
