What You'll Do:
- Work with the Principal Educational Psychologist and Area Senior Educational Psychologist colleagues to flexibly deliver high quality educational psychology services and promote inclusive practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Hampshire County Council and Hampshire Educational Psychology’s policy and practice frameworks.
- Lead and manage the East team of educational psychologists (EPs) and shape and influence their development. Oversee the recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, and performance of senior, trainee, and EPs, providing their professional supervision and line management.
- Build and establish multi-agency networks and working partnerships that support joint strategic planning and service delivery across Children’s Services, ensuring coordinated working arrangements for children, families, and schools.
- Manage and balance workloads and nurture relationships with Special Educational Needs Team, other professionals, and education setting staff.
What We're Looking For:
- A fully qualified, HCPC registered practising educational psychologist (EP).
- Successful experience in a Local Authority EPS and knowledge of the statutory and policy framework guiding the work of educational psychologists.
- An experienced manager of educational psychologists with the ability to prioritise and manage own, and others’ workloads, successfully working to strict deadlines.
- Demonstrable commitment to applying psychology to support children and young people with their educational achievement, inclusion, and mental health and well-being within a value-led framework.
- Professionally resilient, optimistic, and solution-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
