Children and Family Support worker provide an invaluable role in the work of Hampshire Children’s Services.
This role is a great opportunity to join Hampshire County Council if you have experience of working with children and families. You will be based in the busy Children’s Reception Team processing new referrals in respect of vulnerable children and young people from within the contact centre. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, you will work collaboratively with families and a wide range of professionals in order to improve the outcomes for children and families.
You will have a good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and young people and be able to identify risks that impact on their well-being and safety. Experience of working with children, young people and families in a safeguarding environment would be an advantage. Good verbal and written communication skills are desirable as is the ability to engage with children, families and professionals. Literacy, numeracy and IT skills are essential part of the role.
