The Role:

Do you share our ambition for achieving a consistently inclusive, high-quality education for all children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities?

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching and Learning Advisor you will provide early intervention support to education settings, essential for supporting their inclusion journey. You will work alongside mainstream and specialist provision to enhance the offer for all children and young people. In this role you will join a strong, county-wide team in Education and Inclusion, who offer professional support, challenge and intellectual stimulus to a diverse community of educators who have high expectations of our service.

You will have a clear vision for education that you can articulate with confidence as well as current knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities and high-quality inclusive teaching. You need to have worked directly within special educational needs and disabilities, for example as a SENCo or similar. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to meet challenges with optimism. You will need to understand how to develop the capacity for school improvement.
