This passionate team of outdoor education professionals is committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive, and impactful outdoor learning experiences. The Role:

As a Senior Outdoor Learning Instructor, you’ll play a key leadership role in the newly formed Learning Outdoors Team.

You’ll be at the heart of designing and delivering inspiring outdoor learning programmes that empower young people and adults to grow through adventure.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you’ll also support and develop a team of instructors, manage programme logistics, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our outdoor learning offer. You’ll work across a variety of stunning natural settings and take part in the on-call rota to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants at all times.

What you'll do:

  • Design and deliver engaging outdoor learning programmes for schools, youth groups, and adults
  • Lead and support a team of instructors, ensuring high-quality, safe, and inclusive experiences
  • Manage risk, resources, and programme logistics across a variety of remote and residential settings
  • Act as an on-call manager, ensuring safety and support outside regular hours

What we're looking for:

  • Excellent communication skills for building positive relationships with a diverse range of people, including customers, the participants, professionals and colleagues
  • Proven experience of leading and inspiring staff teams, and of delivering staff training, monitoring and mentoring
  • Strong communication, planning, and leadership skills
  • A personal passion for the outdoors and youth empowerment
  • Ability to work with initiative and work independently
  • Sound IT skills and able to accurately record information

Why join us?

  • Work in stunning outdoor environments across Hampshire
  • Be part of a passionate, supportive team
  • Access to training and development opportunities
  • Make a real impact on health, wellbeing, and youth empowerment

Our benefits package includes details of the holiday entitlement, pension scheme, flexi-time scheme, family friendly policies and interest free travel loans and discounts. We offer a flexible, motivating and inclusive workplace. We have created an environment that you can look forward to being a part of, where you are empowered to be your best and a workplace built on teamwork where people can grow and develop in their roles.
