Salary Range: £25,628 - £28,326 pro-rata, per annum (actual salary £20,779 - £22,966 per annum)

The Role:

We’re privileged to work with some amazing people here at Homewood. We provide a residential service for adults with learning disabilities. As a Residential Services Officer you’ll play a key role providing personalised support, so people can engage in a range of meaningful activities both out in the community and within our safe and comfortable environment.

This will include helping people with eating and drinking, taking medication, personal care and communication. You’ll have an understanding of the needs of the service user group and have experience of working with them to achieve independence. Experience of enabling and providing care in a respite or residential service environment would be an advantage. Most importantly, you’ll demonstrate our core values, showing patience, empathy and compassion and share our commitment to enabling people to lead full and active lives as independently as possible. Our Residential Services Officers must be strong team players, so you’ll need excellent communication skills for building positive relationships. You’ll also need good collaboration skills for working in partnership with a diverse range of people including the people who stay with us, their families and carers, as well as other professionals and colleagues. Sound IT and accurate information recording skills are also essential.

As this is a 24/7 service, you’ll be required to work a shift pattern to respond to the demands of the service. Your working pattern will include working bank holidays, every other weekend and a variety of shifts including early, late and sleep-in shifts.
