ACRO Corporate Communications Officer

Salary - £35,526- £40,893

Location- Near Fareham

Hours per week - Flexible up to 37 Hours, Monday - Friday with Flexible Office hours

Contract type- Permanent 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated communications professional to join our small team.

About the Role

You will be involved in every aspect of communications for ACRO. This includes:

 

  • Dealing with national media enquiries on high profile issues
  • Engaging with staff through our various internal channels
  • Using social media and our website to promote ACRO’s work
  • Advising colleagues at all levels on communications matters
  • Supporting marketing campaigns to widen awareness of ACRO’s services

 

While an all-round understanding of communications is important, we welcome applications from anyone with a specialist background.

Candidates should note that this role may occasionally involve UK travel requiring overnight stays. The post holder may need to work occasional unsocial hours to respond to operational demands.

Essential Qualifications

Essential: Educated to QCF Level 3  plus NCTJ qualification or other qualification in either PR, general media or marketing studies OR work experience deemed to have brought the role holder to a comparable level.

 

Essential Experience

Essential: To have worked for a considerable period as a journalist or in a communications or marketing role.

 

Experience of using social media in a professional capacity.
