The Role:

In this role, you will join the Grenfell Insight and Intelligence Team which is responsible for leading priority projects to support the delivery of outcomes set out in the Grenfell recovery strategy and for providing reports and insightful data analysis to a wide range of external and internal stakeholders.
Working alongside project managers, you will manage a team of data analysts and have responsibility over the delivery of complex data related projects, and scoping and reviewing the work of your team, providing them with coaching and support development.

About You:

With previous experience of complex data analysis, preferably in housing, you will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Power BI (for both analysis and data modelling), Excel and Access, and the ability to learn and develop proficiency in new applications.

You will also have excellent data visualisation skills and experience of creating a narrative and articulating procedures and guidance for non-technical stakeholders.

Experience in management and business analysis is desirable.

Role Requirements:

The SBDA will take responsibility for:

  • The support to specific business areas including establishing effective business relationships with Directors, ADs and Heads of Service. 
  • The delivery of complex pieces of work, which include approaches to data quality, designing and producing new reports, developing insightful pieces of data analysis, user support, or being the key point of contact for external data relationships with partner agencies
  • The design and development of  knowledge management strategy, plans, processes and tools
  • The design and development of longer term reporting capability using Power BI
  • Defining data transfer approaches, procedures, developing methods / tooling and data migration testing.
  • Engage across multiple groups in the organisation to capture and implement data processes as per business requirements
  • Performing maintenance of data across applications (where no technical integration exists).

 

 

We work in partnership with Hampshire County Council (HCC) who deliver many transactional services on our behalf. Although most communications will be from HCC, all selection and appointment decisions will be made by RBKC. Certain services are shared across more than one Council area to nearby neighbouring Authorities. This enhances delivery and reduces costs.
