Join us and help shape the future of local government.

The Role:

We’re entering a major period of transformation as local government is reshaped, creating a rare opportunity for IT professionals to make a lasting impact. We’re looking for an experienced Web Content Strategist to join the Web Content Team.

Everything we do starts with user needs, including those of the most vulnerable. You will be an expert in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and follow our corporate standards and UX/UI principles.

What you’ll do:

  • Be part of large-scale public service transformation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, including web developers, designers, policy specialists, legal teams and senior management.
  • Use wireframing tools to plan out information structures and services.
  • Use our content management system to build and update content to the highest standards.
  • Build a case for transformation by examining user needs, behaviours, analytics and feedback.
  • Be able to explain your decisions clearly and confidently.

What we’re looking for:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience writing for the web and a proven ability to produce content that is both accessible and user-focused. You will have a strong background in content strategy and editorial planning, combined with practical experience of content management systems and HTML coding.

You will also possess a solid understanding of information architecture, wireframing, web prototyping and user experience design. An analytical mindset is essential, with the ability to use data, metrics and user insight to inform decisions and improve content performance.

You will be confident working with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating workshops and translating complex requirements into effective digital solutions.

Why join us?

We offer a flexible, motivating and inclusive workplace, where talent is truly recognised and developed. We have created an environment that you can look forward to being a part of and where you are empowered to be your best and believe in creating a workplace built on teamwork where people can grow and develop in their roles.
