Are you a flexible, dynamic teacher able to think out of the box? Do you enjoy the challenge of thinking on your feet while sharing your passion for music with young people?

We are looking for enthusiastic, versatile music teachers with experience in SEND settings to join our special team of teachers working across a diverse range of special needs settings.

Our Special teachers provide high-quality musical experiences, opening wider access to facilitate our young people's music-making. Working in partnership with schools and teachers, we support and nurture the musical journeys of young people across the county.

We work with a variety of instrumental sets including class percussion, ukuleles, African and Samba drumming as well as more specialist resources including music technology and Resonance boards alongside the children's familiar adults. Working with bespoke planning for each setting we develop key musical skills and understanding whilst also focussing on life skills including communication and social interaction.

This is a role where no two days are ever the same! With a varied option for teaching roles there are also exciting opportunities to work on projects to engage learners or one to one with youngsters, to work alongside ensembles or world music projects, to be involved in special events and activities and join a growing team of specialist within the music service.
