The Facilities Management Team delivers a suite of services to thousands of staff based in various offices and drop-in sites in Hampshire. As well as working with Hampshire staff, you will work with our various partners including Police and Fire. You will be joining a team of supportive and hardworking individuals at our Winchester office to deliver a professional Helpdesk Service managing a range of maintenance and soft FM issues.


You'll possess excellent IT skills which will enable you to work across a variety of software packages. 


You’ll have great communication skills to help you to build rapport with key stakeholders, contractors, and colleagues across the partnership.


Many of the tasks are time critical so you need to be used to working to strict deadlines but have the flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing environment.


Confident and dependable, you will be able to work efficiently as part of a team and demonstrate a real commitment to customer service.

Job Purpose:

To support the delivery of a comprehensive, client focused, effective and secure FM service to meet business requirements across the organisation.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Responding positively and in a timely manner to fault reports sign posting them to the relevant area facilities team or other department, e.g. area finance, as required
  • Being aware of when to escalate an enquiry and to who
  • By prioritising effectively fault reports received in accordance with the agreed service level agreement
  • Liaising closely with the facilities teams to obtain updates of action taken and inform the customer as required
  • Liaise with contractors to arrange, in conjunction with the Senior Facilities Officer, visits to conduct regular servicing of equipment and statutory checks and inspections
  • Promoting and encouraging use of the self-service fault reporting system advising how to report a fault on line when required
  • Providing support to the Senior Facilities Officers when required
  • Represent the FM Helpdesk Supervisor at meetings when required

Desirable Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in a similar related role.
  • Basic IT skills - Word/Excel/Outlook.
  • Awareness of H&S policies and other appropriate legislation.
